Even if you’ve only met him once, you know that TJ Harris works incredibly hard and always brings the party!  The people who are closest to TJ also know that he’s a man of integrity and an incredible friend: dependable, authentic, a great listener, dedicated, trustworthy and accepting.

TJ has been in the entertainment business for over 20 years. He is a Squirrel Hill native who spent some time in his early 20’s living in Northern California.  After a few years – missing his friends, family, and community – he moved back to Pittsburgh, living in Mt Washington. 

When he was only sixteen years old, TJ took on his first DJ gig at a downtown Pittsburgh venue called 205, where he quickly earned his first residency. Since then, he has been fortunate enough to open for some of the world’s largest names in entertainment, including DMX, Florida Georgia Line, Doug E. Fresh, KRS-One, Lil Dicky, and countless others.

He has always had a passion for music and chose DJing as a career because he gets to share in the joy and fun of countless people!

As a performer and event planner, he has worked in North America, Europe, South Africa, and Puerto Rico, and with corporate clients such as Victoria’s Secret, Bar Louie, Clique Vodka, DSW Shoes, Crown Royal, and Jagermeister. While working as a music producer, he signed a remix to Mal Label Music that is available for purchase at Beatport.com.  His experience also extends to skillfully managing bars and event venues.

This Pittsburgh native is also a published author, designs his own streetwear, and is a podcast producer – he hosts a weekly podcast for DJs, and co-hosts a wedding one with the fantastic Erin Calvimontes. At heart, TJ is an artist who enjoys painting, photography, filmmaking, drawing, puppetry, writing, sculpting, graphic art, cooking, baking, and, of course, making music. He’s passionate about building community, especially for fellow artists. In fact, his dedication led to Pittsburgh officially recognizing October 18th as “DJ Appreciation Day”!

These days, he’s happily settled just south of the city with his partner, Maya, their awesome son, and their super sweet pitbull, Fiona.
