After spending time in Northern California in his early twenties, TJ returned to his beloved Pittsburgh, missing the community that shaped him. This homecoming would prove pivotal as he began expanding his DJ services into what would eventually become Harris Event Group.

With over 20 years in the entertainment business and more than 400 weddings under his belt, TJ has transformed his passion into a full-scale event production company. His commitment to quality is evident in every aspect of the business:

His impressive career has taken him across North America, Europe, South Africa, and Puerto Rico, where he’s opened for major entertainment names like DMX, Florida Georgia Line, and Lil Dicky. He’s worked with prestigious corporate clients including Victoria’s Secret, Bar Louie, and Crown Royal.
TJ’s love for travel, the ocean, and warm weather reflects his adventurous spirit – the same spirit that drives his innovative approach to event production.

Perhaps most telling about TJ’s character is his dedication to building community. His advocacy for fellow artists led to Pittsburgh officially recognizing October 18th as “DJ Appreciation Day”! He hosts a weekly podcast for DJs and co-hosts a wedding podcast with Erin Calivomontes, creating platforms for knowledge-sharing and connection.

In 2023, TJ’s partner Maya joined the Harris Event Group team, strengthening the family foundation of the business. Today, they live just south of Pittsburgh with their almost-teenage son and their sweet pit bull, Fiona.
